The Summer Sale

O.K so the Summer weather may have disappeared the last couple of days but this has not stopped us from starting our Summer Sale. Maybe more of you will be booking last minute holidays to try and find the sun so it’s a great time to look for those last minute summer bargains.

Most summer items are 25% to 50% off and the reductions will keep on coming.

I’ve chosen a few of my favourite sale items…

Those are just my three favourite sale items. There’s plenty more in the shop of course!

We also have been busy getting in our Autumn range and the first to arrive is Powell and Craft. These baby grows make an ideal gift and are unisex colours too!

It’s just over a week ago when art work cycled to Upper St Giles Street. The day was a great success. Plenty of money raised for Food Cycle and the cupcakes kindly made by Jo Davidson were too tempting to resist…

Back in the Summer Swing

The past month has been very busy at work and at home for my mum, Dorothy, therefore I will be taking over the blog for a little while to get Coccolino back in the blogging world in weekly editions. We do apologise for the months absence. Lots has been happening the past couple of weeks. The buzz from Wimbledon, the sun shining (sometimes) and my endless invites to BBQs has certainly got me in the Summer swing. My Dad is recovering from concussion which means the Thompsons have been embracing the best of the British Summer in Norfolk and London. Usually we spend the Summer months away in Florida visiting my Grandma, but this Summer Coccolino will be the focus with lots of summery events to look forward to when school breaks up.

An exciting event is happening on the street next weekend called “Les Beaux Velo” presented by Upper St Giles Street. My sister will have her art on display as-well. The art will be exhibited from the artist’s bicycle basket.

The street art show is free and all the money will be going to the Food Cycle Charity. There will also be cupcakes in Coccolino.

We hope to see lots of you at the Upper St Giles Street Party Sunday July 10th 12-5pm.

The Royal Wedding- Upper St Giles Street Party

We will all remember where we were on Kate and William’s wedding day and I’m so glad to have spent it with the Upper St Giles lot. All the shops were open, including Coccolino. Everything we sold on the street went to charities, I chose to give my proceeds to Have a Heart Appeal.

Louis Deli had a BBQ, there was a live band from one of the houses, maypole dancing and face painting. It is the liveliest I’ve seen the street and we are hoping to have more street parties as it really is a great street to have them on.

Spring clean

After a relaxing mother’s day with a trip to Southwold and Wagamamas, I am back in the shop and ready for Spring.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is the new look of the shop…

The spring range is bright and cheerful. For the perfect Easter gift there are plenty of yellow and cream baby grows, dresses and booties.

 

 

 

Easter is only 3 weeks away and I want to do something special in the shop this year. My nephews wife kindly made me some gorgeous cupcakes for the Japan fundraiser on Saturday and I am hoping to have them in the shop every Saturday up to Easter. I will also be having easter eggs on the weekends to keep the little ones distracted making it easier for the parents to shop.

It has suddenly dawned on me that all my “little ones” are no longer children. My son turned 18 last week and he is ready to go off to University in September. I guess this means I will have more time to spend on the Shop and the website. The new website is due to launch next week, I am just working on the final stages of it now.

 

Don’t forget to pop down to Dunston Hall on Sunday to the wedding show where I will have a stall.

Happy Mother’s Day

Today is one of my favourite days of the year. My kids spoil me by making me breakfast in bed and then we go and take the dogs for a walk on one of Norfolk’s beaches. My eldest daughter, Lucia is living in Italy at the moment so sadly I don’t get to see her today, but I did have a wonderful time when I visited her last week.

I have come back from Italy feeling inspired by all the beautiful clothes and the presentation of all the shops. Rita and Diane, the two ladies who work for me transformed the shop while I was away and I am so impressed with them. Everything is nicely organised, all the new summer wear is bright and colourful and there is so much more space in the shop.

Next weekend I will be doing another wedding show at Dunston Hall on the 10th April. I will be bringing my new wedding collection along with accessories. If you see something you like you can buy it on the day.

I am going to take pictures of the “refreshed” shop today and will post them as soon as possible.

To all the mom’s out there and the mom’s to be have a lovely and relaxing day. Put your feet up and enjoy being spoilt by your loved ones!

Spring Favourites

 

As the days are getting longer and its warming up I have been getting the shop ready for Spring. All of the new stock has arrived and I have picked a few of my Spring “must haves” that will take your child all the way through to the summer. Denim, bright colours and florals are all in this year and Petit Bateau and Sarah Louise have some cute little trendy numbers. Green Baby is bright and cheerful and with the animal inspired designs they are always a winner.

(British Spring is always hit and miss so I haven’t put the all Winter stock just yet.)
